About 20 years ago, the small impoverished congregation of Brinkley Heights Baptist Church realized their heart felt need to reclaim their community for Christ. These 10 people worshiped in a building that was later condemned and had trouble maintaining the light bill yet, wanted to minster to their community! Despite their situation, these people prayed that God would send in the "reinforcements" needed to help them fulfill this vision. That very summer, Brinkley Heights saw their very first mission team and God has been blessing ever since.

Although the congregation is still small, impoverished and call themselves "the church of misfits", God has brought literally 100's of volunteers.
