· Reading Clubs are provided to help improve the literacy level of our children. High student to teacher ratios in our schools do not meet the individual reading needs of our community children. Our kids are at the point of starvation for love and encouragement and need this important but often neglected educational skill. Mission groups will be used to meet this need with individualized care.
Nursing Home Visitation is an important ministry of Street Reach. With the hustle and bustle of inner-city life, the elderly are often neglected and treated as “throwaway” citizens. Mission groups will be assigned to visit one or two community extended health care homes to assist in games, talent shows, and one to one quality love and care sessions.
